PeopleReady of Baton Rouge is now hiring Event Kitchen Support Workers for upcoming events in  Baton Rouge, LA!

As Event Kitchen Support Worker, you'll help keep food service operations running smoothly before, during, and after events. You'll assist with event setup, food prep, concessions support, stocking, running food and supplies, dishwashing, kitchen cleanup, and event breakdown. This is a hands-on, fast-paced role where you'll jump in wherever needed to support the kitchen and event team throughout the day.

Pay Rate:

The pay rate for this job is $15 - $15 / hour*

What you'll be doing as an Event Kitchen Support Worker:

• Assist with kitchen and food service operations for events, concessions, and other functions
• Help set up kitchen, concession, and food service areas before events
• Assist with food preparation for concession stands, events, and catered functions
• Stock and organize food, beverages, supplies, utensils, and other items needed for event service
• Run food, beverages, water, and supplies between the kitchen, concession stands, and event areas
• Set up carts with food, beverages, and supplies for room and event deliveries
• Help replenish concession stands and food service areas throughout events
• Assist with breakdown and cleanup of kitchen and food service areas after events
• Wash commercial dishes, cookware, utensils, and equipment by rinsing, loading and unloading commercial dishwashing equipment, and returning items to designated areas
• Keep kitchen and work areas clean and organized throughout the shift
• Sweep and mop kitchen and food service areas as needed
• Check and record equipment temperatures to ensure proper operating temperatures
• Remove trash and assist with general cleanup throughout and after events
• Support kitchen and event staff with additional duties as needed to keep food service operations running smoothly

Job requirements:

• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for employment with PeopleReady
• Previous kitchen, food service, concessions, catering, or event experience preferred
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced kitchen and event environment
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
• Ability to frequently go up and down stairs while carrying food, beverages, or supplies
• Ability to lift and carry kitchen and event supplies as needed
• Must wear black pants with no holes, a black shirt, and black shoes
• Non-slip shoes required
• Must be willing to assist with a variety of kitchen, concession, setup, breakdown, and cleanup duties as needed
• Background check required
