Note: The hourly rate for this position is $28 - $35 / hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law. Responsibilities:
- Cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal to create ductwork components and fittings
- Interpret blueprints and specifications to determine ductwork layout and dimensions
- Install ductwork, ensuring proper connections and alignment for optimal airflow
- Identify and repair leaks, damage, or performance issues in existing duct systems
- Adhere to safety regulations and procedures during all phases of work
- Work with project managers, other installers, and clients to ensure timely and successful installations
- Safely handle and dispose of materials, including sheet metal and refrigerants, in compliance with environmental regulations
- Complete necessary paperwork, including timesheets and material inventories
- Maintain and care for tools and equipment, ensuring they are in good working order
- Proficiency with hand and power tools, including saws, drills, and metal fabrication equipment
- Understanding of how different components of HVAC systems work together
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
- Ability to diagnose and resolve issues with ductwork and HVAC systems
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and working in various positions
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to safety regulations
Qualifications:
- E-Verify: Eligible to work in the U.S.
- Minimum 5 years of experience on commercial and/or residential construction sites required
- In-depth knowledge of building codes and laws in your area
- Perform tests and use the results to diagnose problems
- Have all of the tools of your trade on hand and be able to bring them to your job site
- EPA Universal Certification is a plus
