Pay Rate:

The pay rate for this job is $25 - $25 / hour*

What you'll be doing as a Maintenance Technician:

• Install, repair, and adjust doors, cabinets, and drawers
• Replace windows and screens; install glass
• Install and patch Formica surfaces
• Install and repair door locks
• Install floor tile and cove base molding
• Patch and caulk ceilings and walls
• Install and repair bathroom fixtures, caulk shower enclosures
• Record time, materials, and work details on Service Repair Orders
• Clean and maintain building gutters
• Perform masonry work and assist co-workers as needed
• Perform light plumbing and electrical repairs
• Check emergency generators
• Other duties as assigned
• Delivers and installs refrigerators; removes defective refrigerators and returns them to the maintenance yard
• Pours concrete, repairs damaged concrete
• Paints main valve covers; performs various minor painting work
• Inspects perimeter wall and barbed wire; repairs damaged areas
• Records time, materials and related information on Service Repair Orders
• Assist co-workers when necessary
• Repairs or replaces window and sliding door screens
• Perform other tasks as assigned based on departmental needs
• Support onboarding and training new personnel
• Repairs of washers and dryers
• Repairs locks; makes keys

Available shifts:

Shift Timings: 1st Shift (Day)

Job requirements:

• Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for employment with PeopleReady
• Skill in operating all tools and equipment used in the carpentry and masonry trades
• General knowledge of trade and equivalent experience; service work preferably
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• A valid California driver's license and a satisfactory driving record are conditions of initial and continued employment
• Valid California Driver License
• Communicates clearly and respectfully in both verbal and written forms appropriate to a support role
• Listens attentively, follows instructions, and seeks clarification when needed
• Maintains discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive resident or organizational information
• Prioritizes daily tasks independently and adapts to changing assignments or resident needs
• Demonstrates patience, empathy, and emotional maturity when interacting with residents, staff, and outside agencies
• Applies problem-solving skills to routine challenges and escalates complex issues appropriately
• Understands and adheres to established policies, procedures, and organizational protocols
• Background check and drug test required
