Job Description
PeopleReady Skilled Trades now has an office in Columbus and is ready to hire! We are looking for Carpenters for projects in Columbus, Cincinnati and the surrounding areas.
Note: The hourly rate for this position is $22 - $30 / hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law. An employee's pay history will not be a contributing factor where prohibited by local law. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis unless a deadline is otherwise stated.

Responsibilities:
- Reading and understanding blueprints and schematics
- Prepare the layout and scope of work for the project
- Install metal and wood framing and roof truss components
- Using hand and electric tools to cut and fabricate and install framework components
- Assemble and fasten materials to make frameworks and props, using hand tools
- Shape and cut materials to specific measurements, using hand tools, machines, or power saws
- Install doors, windows, stairs, baseboards, and crown molding
- Build or repair cabinets, doors, frameworks, floors, finishing interior and exterior trim, and other wooden fixtures
- Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, and wallboard
- Follow established safety rules and regulations
- Maintain a safe and clean environment
Qualifications:
- Must have Right To Work Documents for Employment in the US
- Have 6+ months of experience in the commercial/ residential field
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs. repetitively
- Walk, move, bend, twist, ,stand, and lift for a long periods of time
- Own basic hand tools and work boots
- We provide PPE
- Have reliable & consistent transportation to and from work
- Must be able to provide verifiable work references at the time of application
