Warehouse Assistant

Pay Rate:
The pay rate for this job is $18 - $18 / hour*
What you'll be doing as a Warehouse Assistant:
- Prepare UPS/FedEx/DHL/LTL/International shipping documents required
- Load and unload freight
- Bag and label bulk parts into units
- Prep and pack trolleys
- Build Accessory Kits
- Ensure all items have part number identified on the packaging
- Cycle Count
- Transport inventory to and from Technology Drive location and Benning Street location
- Receive all physical shipments
- Ensure what is in packages (qty and item) match with that of the packing list
- Inventory receiving verification of Part#, Qty, PO, Location (physical & computer), Signature and Date
- Distribute received items to appropriate site and if applicable same to QC
- Place RMA receipts on returns shelving for service
- Restock shelves from ‘back' stock
- Maintain FIFO system for parts and lathes
- Work with manager on KanBan system
- Copy and distribute paperwork
- Assist with the transportation of scrap wood to the dump
- Assist with the transportation of scrap metal to recycling
- Break down cardboard and take to recycling dumpster
- Assist co-workers with finding items within the warehouse
- Assist with tracking freight as requested
- Projects as assigned
- Pick Orders, Pack Orders and Ship Orders
Available shifts:
Shift timings - 1st Shift (Day)
Job requirements:
- Valid US Drivers' License
- Able to obtain and maintain DOT medical card for driving company truck
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic math; ability to count with accuracy
- Familiarity with personal computers, ability to use and learn
- Ability to read and comprehend procedures written in English
- Ability to use hands to manipulate, handle, and feel
- Ability to frequently sit, stand, walk, reach within hands and arms length, stoop, kneel, and crouch. Walking could be 4+ hours per day, standing for 2.5 hours per day and sitting for 2.5 hours per day
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 55 pounds; over 55 pounds requires team lift or assisted lift
- Specific vision requirements include close vision and color vision
- Background check and drug screening required
