Pay Rate:
The pay rate for this job is $18 - $18 / hour*
What you'll be doing as a Roofer:
- Cutting felt, shingles, or strips of flashing to fit angles formed by walls, vents, or intersecting roof surfaces
- Removing snow, water, or debris from roofs prior to applying roofing materials
- Installing vapor barriers and/or layers of insulation on the roof decks of flat roofs, and sealing the seams
- Working on low-slope or steep-slope roofs sometimes both
- Inspecting problem roofing to determine the best repair procedures
- Placing tiles, nailing them to roof boards, and covering nail heads with roofing cement
- Removing old roofing materials
- Checking to ensure that completed roofs are watertight
- Locating worn or torn areas in roofs
- Sweeping and cleaning roofs to prepare them for the application of new roofing materials
- Reliable Transportation
- Strong working knowledge of job site safety
- Ability to install different types of roofing systems such as: TPO, PVC, EPDM rubber, built-ups, Bitumen, metal and dura-last roofing
- Drug free at all times
- Commercial roofing experience
Available shifts:
Shift timings - Weekends
Job requirements:
- Knowledge of Safety/OSHA guidelines
- Ability to get to and from job sites and/or the shop is required
- Must be reliable and enjoy working outdoors in a variety of climates and NOT have a fear of heights
- Drug free at all times
- Ability to comprehend, construct, and interpret diagrams, blueprints, and shop drawings for the task being done
- Strong working knowledge of job site safety as well as ability to complete a company specific safety orientation
- High standard of integrity and professionalism
- Experience working with equipment such as: boom lifts, scissor lifts, and forklifts
- Ability to install different types of roofing systems such as: TPO, PVC, EPDM rubber, built-ups, Bitumen, metal and dura-last roofing
- Eagerness and willingness to learn and receive instruction/direction from qualified Journeyman Commercial Roofer
- Experience working with equipment such as boom lifts, scissor lifts, and forklifts is a plus
