Material Handler
PeopleReady of Detroit, MI is now hiring Material Handlers in Troy, MI. As a Material Handler, you will maintain production and distribution of products by pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials, and resupplying for other workers on production lines

Pay Rate:
The pay rate for this job is $20 - $20 / hour*
What you'll be doing as a Material Handler:
- Operate a Hi-Low forklift and other material handling equipment to transport materials throughout the facility
- Safely load and unload materials to ensure efficient production processes
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with stock organization
- Assist with receiving and shipping materials as needed
- Ensure all tasks are completed in compliance with safety standards
- Conduct daily equipment checks and report any issues or malfunctions
- Perform basic material handling duties, including moving materials to designated areas
- Work closely with other team members to meet production goals
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times
Available shifts:
Shift Timings - 2nd Shift (Evening)
Job requirements:
- Prior experience operating a forklift or similar material handling equipment is required
- Ability to safely and efficiently operate a Hi-Low forklift
- Ability to stand, bend, and move throughout the shift
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
- Willingness to obtain forklift certification upon hire (if not already certified)
- Candidate needs to have have prior experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment
- While forklift certification is not required, experience is a must, and they will be provided certification upon hire
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- In-person interview and driving test required
- Background check and drug screening required
