JOIN OUR TEAM! POSITION: Form Setting Carpenter LOCATION: Conroe, TX! PRST is hiring a Skilled Carpenter with Form Setting experience to support a General Contractor in Conroe, TX mostly. There is an additional job site in Fulshear, TX that the associate will be required to drive and work at when needed, but Conroe is the primary jobs site. This is a commercial project of a water treatment facility. In this role, you'll enjoy weekly pay and health insurance benefits. Note: The hourly rate for this position is $23 - $28 / hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law. Responsibilities:
- Shift: Monday to Friday, 10 hour shifts Occasional weekend but only when needed
- Building concrete forms for a water treatment facility according to sketches, blueprints, and/or oral instructions
- Position rebar ties at the intersection of the rebar pieces
- Ensure the tie is snug and secure to prevent movement during concrete placement
- Construct, erect, install, and repair forms and fixtures of wood or plywood using carpenter's hand tools and power tools
- Molding and constructing expansion joints using joiners and edging tools
- Using the proper release agents on the forms so the concrete does not stick prior to pouring
- Monitor concrete and ensure it is compacted properly to eliminate voids and ensure a dense, uniform structure
- Pouring, smoothing, and leveling concrete using a rake, trowel, float, and screed
- Apply waterproofing treatments to prevent leaks and protect the concrete as needed
- Carpenters will need to assist with installing pipe from time to time, but no prior experience required
- Some Finish Work as well later on down the road of the project
Qualifications:
- 4 years minimum of previous experience in commercial form setting required
- OSHA-10 Construction Certification is a plus but not required
- Must have experience with doing finish work
- Must have your own tools and the ability to bring them on site
- Must have good situational awareness
- Must be able to read blueprints and schematics
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel and walk for extended periods throughout the day with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
- Position does REQUIRE a drug screen
