Tool And Die Maker
PeopleReady of Hudson, WI is now hiring Tool And Die Makers in Osceola WI! As a Tool And Die Maker, you will do a variety of work in different industries.
Pay Rate:
The pay rate for this job is $20 - $26 / hour*
What you'll be doing as a Tool And Die Maker:
- Plans the setup and operation of all types of machine shop tools, considering types of material, tolerances, types of cutting tools, coolants, lubricants and machine tool feeds and speeds
- Determines specifications for inspection of work, using precision measuring and gaging tools, performing required inspection before, during, and after machining Wears all required safety equipment and ensures area and environment are safe
- Fits and assembles jigs, fixtures, tools, and dies. Sets up, runs off and tests die to produce a product to specifications, tracing die difficulties to their source, and correcting the same heat-treats and welds parts as required
- Perform preventative maintenance as required
- Reads and interprets blueprints or works from verbal or written instructions or from the part to be copied or fitted Clean and organize the area, keep the area free of clutter and safety hazards
- Tear down, repair, and reassembles tooling on the bench or in the press as required
- Assist other tool room personnel with troubleshooting skills or ideas
- Assist cell leaders with troubleshooting tooling during production runs

Job requirements:
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize
- Ability to work independently, self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- The associate must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
