Note: The hourly rate for this position is $17 - $21 / hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law. Responsibilities:
- Hours: (6 days), 4 X 12's & 2 X 8's Review blueprints, schematics, and drawings to understand dimensions, tolerances, and instructions for the machine operation
- Monitor machine operations to ensure parts are produced to specification and check parts for accuracy using measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, etc.) and make adjustments to machines as necessary to maintain quality
- Load materials into the CNC machines and input program specifications
- Set machine parameters such as speed, feed rates, and tool changes according to the blueprint or work order
- Operate various types of CNC machines (lathe, milling, router, etc.) to create precision parts
- Perform basic maintenance and cleaning on CNC machines
- Troubleshoot and resolve machine malfunctions or issues
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment
- Comply with regulatory and company standards, including quality control and environmental guidelines
- Maintain accurate records of machine performance, production output, and maintenance activities.
- Communicate production progress and any machine issues with supervisors or team members.
Qualifications:
- Be at least 18 years of age. Ability to operate all CNC equipment
- Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screening test
- Ability to use standard fabrication tools and perform advanced level layout or materials
- Ability to train Machine Operators and lead a small team
- Knowledge of tool holders, cutting tools, fixtures and other accessories used on various machines
- Possess basic math skills that include geometry and algebra to calculate material fabrication
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manual
- Regular, reliable and punctual attendance with ability to work overtime and weekends
- Possess a strong sense of urgency
- Ability to work independently and / or a cooperative team member
- Willingly take direction from supervisory and lead personnel.
- Adheres to quality procedures and demonstrates strong safety awareness
- Must be able to lift object weighing up to 50lbs
