Note: The hourly rate for this position is $27 - $34 / hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law. Responsibilities:
- WORK SCHEDULE: 40 - 60 HOURS WEEKLY
- Form and fabricate parts and components for experimental projects, repairs, and modifications to machines, equipment, and facilities to ensure reliable, consistent operation according to directions and specifications for the approval of supervision
- Use graphic, written, or verbal directions and specifications
- Use machine tools and hand tools working with a variety of metals and other materials within prescribed tolerances as directed
- Perform troubleshooting of all machines and systems (electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, etc.), recommend corrective actions, and supervise modifications and repairs upon approval
- Use past practices, basic data tables, handbooks, and technical references to determine sizes, capacity, dimensions, and other working data for the approval of supervision
- Maintain a working knowledge of plant production processes, equipment, systems, and facilities to perform maintenance effectively, under general direction
- Work in cooperation with various departments: engineering, technical, and production supervisory, or outside of the company personnel when directed
- Follow the policies and procedures of the company
- Perform other related duties as instructed by management
Qualifications:
- OSHA-10 Certification or a willingness to obtain it
- Prior hands-on experience with machinery maintenance in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and schematics
- Ability to safely use power tools and hand tools
- Knowledge of materials, their applications, and potential modifications
- Understanding of basic electrical and installations
- Knowledge of safety procedures for equipment and machinery
- Ability to commute or relocate
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel and walk for extended periods throughout the day
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
- Prior experience in the industrial field required
- Prior experience using hand tools and power tools required
- Position may require a drug screen
