PeopleReady of Mount Vernon, IN is now hiring Fire Watchers in Mount Vernon, IN! As a Firewatcher, you will ensure the safety of personnel for a long-term project in Mt Vernon, IN. No experience is needed and you will have specialized training! Overtime, and bonuses are available!

Pay Rate:

The pay rate for this job is $18 - $18 / hour*

What you'll be doing as a Fire Watcher:

• Watch for fire hazards in the workplace while work is performed
• Be prepared to operate fire extinguishers, hydrants, fixed monitors, and hose carts at anytime
• If a fire happens, extinguish it immediately, sound fire alarm, and/or notify plant control room
• Ensure safety of person in confined spaces
• Keep visual and voice contact with other employees
• Inspect the entire work area and look for potential release of flammable vapors or liquids
• Follow all safety procedures

Shift Timings: 1st Shift (Day)

Job Requirements:

• Ability to work in a hot environment
• Ability to work in foul-smelling conditions
• Not afraid of heights
• Background check and drug screening required
• OSHA 10 Preferred
