Pay Rate:
The pay rate for this job is $14 - $14 / hour*
What you'll be doing as a Painter:
- Brush and Roller Techniques: Competence in using brushes and rollers to achieve smooth, even coverage without drips, runs, or thin spots
- Cutting In: Ability to paint clean, straight lines around trim, ceilings, and other edges without using excessive tape
- Touch-Up Expertise: Skill in seamlessly blending new paint with existing paint, ensuring color and sheen match as closely as possible to make repairs invisible
- Surface Preparation: Basic understanding of preparing surfaces for paint, including cleaning (removing dust, grease), light scraping, and possibly filling small nail holes or imperfections with spackle or joint compound
Available shifts:
Shift Timings: 1st Shift (Day), 2nd Shift (Evening), Weekends
Job requirements:
- Attention to Detail: A keen eye for identifying imperfections and ensuring a high-quality finish, even in quick refresh jobs
- Efficiency: Ability to work quickly and effectively to complete the required tasks within a reasonable timeframe, minimizing downtime for the vacant unit
- Reliability and Punctuality: Being dependable and arriving on schedule is crucial for property turnover timelines
- Respect for Property: Protecting surfaces that are not being painted (floors, fixtures) using drop cloths and tape
- Basic Communication: Ability to understand instructions and communicate any issues or needs to property managers or supervisors
- Physical Stamina: The work involves standing, bending, reaching, and potentially lifting paint cans and equipment
- Professional References Required
