PeopleReady Skilled Trades is seeking experienced Excavator Operators for an exciting opportunity to work on commercial construction projects in Nashville, TN. and the surrounding area. Note: The hourly rate for this position is $28 - $32 / hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law. Responsibilities:

• Work Schedule: 5 X 8's
• Highly Preferred Criteria: "Experience operating excavators in all phases of construction (dirt work to finish grading)
• In order to be considered as a highly preferred applicant, the highly preferred criteria must be listed on your resume
• Perform excavation and grading tasks as required for site preparation and utilities installation
• Load and unload materials such as dirt, gravel, and debris
• Perform routine maintenance checks on the excavator to ensure it is in good working condition
• Read and interpret plans and instructions from supervisors
• Follow safety guidelines and protocols, ensuring a safe work environment
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure project tasks are completed efficiently and on time

 Qualifications:

• Proficient in operating various types of excavators (e.g., crawler, wheeled, mini-excavators) and related attachments (e.g., buckets, augers, and hammers)
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems and mechanical principles used in excavators
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and site layout drawings
• Proficient in using GPS systems and other site positioning tools to ensure accurate excavation
• Strong attention to safety and detail
• Physical stamina and ability to work in outdoor environments
• Must have proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
• Certifications or licenses to operate heavy machinery may be required
• Ability to work at least 40 hours a week and overtime if necessary
