This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law. Responsibilities:
- Hours: 6x10s, Monday - Saturday, 60 hours
- Reading Blueprints and Specifications
- Understanding technical drawings and specifications to determine the exact requirements for the welding job Mainly carbon steel
- Largest pipe is 6
- Majority of the pipe is 4
- I believe the plan is stick when fabricating on the ground and for the low pipe and Mig for pipe high in the air. welding on schedule 40 and 80 pipe
- And most of the welding will be stick welding 6010 / 7018 rods
- Selecting appropriate welding techniques Choosing the correct welding methods and materials for the job, which may include techniques such as TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), MIG (Metal Inert Gas), or arc welding
- Preparing materials, cleaning, cutting, and shaping the pipes to be welded, ensuring they fit together correctly
- Welding pipes, using welding equipment to join metal pipes together, ensuring a strong and leak-proof seal
- Inspecting welds, checking completed welds for quality and adherence to specifications, often using tools and techniques like X-rays or ultrasound
- Maintaining equipment, keeping welding equipment in good working order, performing routine maintenance and repairs as needed
- Safety compliance,, following safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment
- Collaborating with other trades, working alongside other tradespeople, such as pipefitters and electricians, to complete projects efficiently and effectively
Qualifications:
- Welding Certification Required
- Must possess your own SS 6g TIG & carbon 6g SMAW certs
- You will not be tested on site
- OSHA-10 Certification or a willingness to obtain it
- 2+years of industrial refrigeration welding experience required
- Experience with carbon and steel required
- Own tools and ability to bring them to work with you each day
- Ability to read and interrupt blueprints
- Ability to work 6 days a week, 10 hour days
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel and walk for extended periods throughout the day
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation
- Prior experience in the industrial field required
- Prior experience using Welding Machines required
- Position may require a drug screen and a background check
