Shipping / Receiving Worker

Pay Rate:
The pay rate for this job is $16 - $16 / hour*
What You'll Do as a Shipping/Receiving Worker:
- Oversee and manage activities at the shipping dock to ensure safe and efficient freight loading
- Dispatch incoming orders and assign them to the warehouse team
- Verify the accuracy of orders picked by the warehouse team
- Enter data such as addresses, quantities, and weights to complete shipping paperwork
- Ensure the correct shipping methods are used for customer orders
- Maintain a shipment database to keep orders updated and provide billing information to customer service and finance teams
- Notify the supervisor of any major discrepancies, over-shipments, or substitutions
- Prepare bills of lading for shipments
- Use a hand truck or other equipment to transport materials on the shipping dock as needed
- Operate a forklift to load trucks or railroad cars
- Ensure product handling and delivery meet customer expectations
- Keep accurate shipment records and file packing slips according to company procedures
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Prepare, pack, and label orders for shipment
- Verify order accuracy before shipping
- Load and unload trucks using forklifts and other equipment
- Keep work areas clean, safe, and organized
- Assist with inventory tracking and management as needed
Available Shifts:
Shift timings- 2nd Shift (Evening), 3rd Shift (Night)
Job Requirements:
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
- Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Basic understanding of truck freight rates
- Solid knowledge of safety policies and best practices
- Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly
- Background check and drug screening required
