Pay Rate:
The pay rate for this job is $18 - $18 / hour*
What you'll be doing as a Hazardous Waste Worker:
- Clean up of hazardous and non-hazardous waste
- Responsibilities include manual labor tasks such as collecting, handling, packaging, transporting medical waste, hazardous and non-hazardous waste, and other materials
- Additional duties involve drum movements, drum bulking, drum crushing, and providing support when extra personnel are needed
- Ensure proper segregation, labeling, marking, and packaging of waste materials in compliance with environmental, safety, and transportation regulations
- Meet regulatory shipment windows, maintain accurate tracking logs, and adhere to Environmental and Quality Management System, policies, procedures, and operational controls
- Identify and implement best practices to reduce waste volumes, increase operational efficiencies, optimize equipment usage, and generate cost savings for customers
- Perform physically demanding activities, including sorting trash for recyclables, loading trucks, collecting, pouring, transferring, consolidating, repackaging, and packaging waste materials
- Maintain a safe and organized environment.
Available shifts:
Shift timings - 1st Shift (Day)
Job requirements:
- Two (2) years of relevant work experience preferred
- Must be a valid driver's license
- Must have or be willing to update all Vaccines
- Must be comfortable walking 10-12 miles daily
- Background check and drug screening required
