Distribution Associate

Pay Rate:
The pay rate for this job is $19 - $22 / hour*
What you'll be doing as a Distribution Associate:
- Act as front line role for processing orders and rectifying inventory issues.
- Maintaining inventory integrity by performing cycle count activities
- Filling and issuing orders and/or back orders to authorized personnel
- Housekeeping practices in the stockroom and distribution areas
- Loading trucks and UPS shipments
- Performing basic machine assembly when necessary
- Indicating routing and arranging for proper distribution procedures
- Completes and assists with special projects
- Other duties as assigned
- Forklift operations as required
- Assure company quality goals are met

Job requirements:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Three years related distribution experience and/or training; or equivalent combination required
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively to other employees of organization
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in
- written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations;
- Must be able to operate forklift and overhead crane
- Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds 2/3 of the time and up to 50 pounds 1/3 of the time
- Must demonstrate working knowledge of computers, i.e. Windows
- Experience in ERP systems as well as basic knowledge of freight
- Rates and discount systems is highly desirable
- Drug test required
